We arrived in Edinburgh around 8 am and took the bus into town. Cat really wanted yogurt and granola, which we found....topped with whisky. Typically a Scottish dessert, it is called cranachan and is usually some sort of whisky-soaked oats with fruit and honey. Considering I still don't drink and am not used to the taste of alcohol, I don't really know why I thought that was a good idea, but I guess these are the sorts of adventures you have abroad. Considering most alcohol-for-breakfast kind of adventures, I suppose mine was pretty tame (and pretty!). Also, I guess that counts as having tried Scottish whisky.
Sunday, we toured Edinburgh Castle and the National Museum of Scotland before flying home!
